Event One

 Apollon's Wheel's

Scoring in this event was based on both the number of times the competitor was able to clean and jerk the weight overhead and the method by which the bar was cleaned to the shoulders. "True cleans" (bar pulled from floor to top of chest without stopping) were considered superior to "Continental Cleans" in which the bar was pulled to just above the waist and then maneuvered into position through one or more additional pulls.
